德进七 - Te Chapter 77

人之饥也 以亓取食税之多也 是以饥

百姓之不治也 以亓上有以为也 是以不治

民之巠死 以亓求生之厚也 是以巠死

夫唯无以生为者 是贤贵生

人日常吃不饱。因为粮食税收太繁重了，所以吃不饱； 老百姓不容易治理。因为上位者有自己的追求（强加于民），所以不好治理； 民众漠视死亡。因为追求活着的时候生活极尽繁华，只求活着轰轰烈烈，所以漠视死亡。 只有那些不追求活着的时候一定要有所作为（获得成就）的人，反而能（脚踏实地）在践行积累中度过一生，活得很有价值。

• 巠，水冥巠也；川在地下；

• 贤，多才也。

The people are not able to eat enough on a regular basis because the taxes on food are too heavy.

It is hard to govern the common people because the ruling class imposes their own desires on the people.

The people have a disregard for death because they are focused on enjoying life to the fullest and achieving their own goals.

Only those who do not seek to achieve something great in life, but instead focus on living a meaningful life through hard work and perseverance, can truly live a valuable life.
