道廿六 - Tao Chapter 26

重为巠根 清为趮君

是以君子众日行不离其甾重 唯有环官 燕处则昭若

若何万乘之王而以身巠于天下

巠则失本 趮则失君

水脉流入地下，（从光明转入）昏暗幽深，根本的原因是重力的作用；单纯追求速度，很容易偏离目标，所以一定要以清明的思路主导行动。所以统治者出行离不开充分的后勤准备。 虽然治理群众的时候被群众拱卫，要保持燕子满足于简陋的燕窝的心态，就能清楚冷静的注意到周边事物的细节，就像被光明照耀一样。 那么如果已经成为了“王”，但是以身犯险，率众亲身进入昏暗的境地会怎么样呢？会在昏暗之中迷失自我，而过分的追求效率（速度）则会失去主导的能力。 羽丰则迟，羽杀则趮。

The flow of water into underground, (from light to darkness), the fundamental reason is the force of gravity; pursuing speed alone can easily deviate from the goal, so one must always lead actions with a clear and rational mindset. Therefore, leaders must always make sure to have adequate logistical preparation.

Even when ruling the masses, one must maintain the mindset of a swallow being content with a simple nest, in order to observe the details of the surrounding things clearly and objectively, as if being illuminated by light.

So, if one has become a "king", but risks oneself and leads the masses into the dark, what will happen? One will lose oneself in the darkness and lose the ability to lead by excessively pursuing efficiency (speed).
