德卅八 - Te Chapter 38
上德不德 是以有德
下德不失德 是以无德
上德无为而无以为也 上仁为之而无以为也 上义为之而有以为也 上礼为之而莫之应也 则攘臂而乃之 故失道
失道矣而后德 失德而后仁 失仁而后义 失义而后礼
夫礼者 忠信之泊也 而乱之首也
前识者 道之华也 而愚之首也
是以大丈夫居亓厚而不居亓泊 居亓实而不居亓华
故去皮取此
攀登的过程中,在上面(顶峰)的人不再攀登,所有人都看到了他攀登的成果;在下面的人,还需要继续攀登,因为他们还没有获得成就。 (个人)攀登到顶峰的人不需要再做什么了,也没什么可以做的了(已经到达制高点了);(个人)与人交心,得到大家的认同,需要时刻的维持这种状态,但也没有更多可以做的了;(个人)感知上天而行公义获得成就,需要持续的维持,并且对上天的感应没有穷尽,需要持续的探索和实践;(个人)注重仪表,时刻遵循仪礼,不要奢求获得响应,还是要撸起袖子自己上,这个时候就没有前路可以参考了。 如果失去前路,就只能不断探索,持续攀登;攀登过程中失去领先优势的时候,就和“大部队”一起了,和大家多沟通多交心;交心没有获得认同,就尝试理解上天的规则,实行公义;没有能力理解上天,无法实行公义,那就只能约束自己,注重个人仪礼。 所谓仪礼,实际是失去内心中道的正定和方向,通过流于表面的外在约束来锚定自身的办法,就像锚停水面漂浮的小船一样,这是危险的,也可能隐含着祸乱的端倪。 所谓先见之明,实际是看到了前面一小段路的风光,实际反而更容易被引入岔路,这意味着愚昧的开始(走对了是运气,但运气未必一直那么好)。 所以顶天立地的人行事脚踏实地,而不会如无根浮萍一般漂泊不定;基于现实做出决策和规划,而不是基于看到的浮华表现做出判断。这就是他们做出判断的依据。

(Individual) Climbing to the peak does not need to do anything anymore and there is nothing left to do (has reached the summit); (Individual) Building relationships with people, gaining everyone's recognition, requires constant maintenance of this state, but there is nothing more to do; (Individual) Perceiving and acting in righteousness to achieve success, requires continuous maintenance and there is no end to sensing heaven, requires continuous exploration and practice; (Individual) Emphasizing etiquette, always following rituals, not expecting to get a response, and still need to roll up their sleeves and do it themselves, at this time, there is no reference point.
If there is no reference point, you can only continue to explore and climb, lose the lead during the climbing, then join the "big team", communicate more with everyone. If you don't get recognized, try to understand heaven's rules, practice righteousness. If you can't understand heaven and can't practice righteousness, you can only restrain yourself and pay attention to personal etiquette.
The so-called etiquette is actually losing the inner righteousness and direction of the way, and through superficial external constraints to anchor oneself, like anchoring a floating boat on the water surface, it is dangerous, and may also contain ominous clues.
The so-called foresight is actually seeing the scenery of the previous road, and is actually more likely to be led astray, which means foolish beginning (hitting the right one is luck, but luck may not always be so good).
Therefore, the person who stands at the top is down-to-earth, and will not be like a rootless floating duck, which is unstable; Based on reality, make decisions and plans, rather than based on the appearance of flamboyance. This is their basis for judgment.
