德卌九 - Te Chapter 49

圣人无恒心 以百姓之心为心

善者善之 不善者亦善之 德善也

信者信之 不信者亦信之 德信也

圣人之在天下 歙歙焉 为天下浑心

百姓皆属耳目焉 圣人皆咳之

通达事理的人不会长久的坚持某一种心态或思维习惯，而是掌握了换位思考，可以以形形色色各种不同人的心态或思维作为自己思考的出发点。 对于行善的人知道对方是心存善念（而善待他），对于行不善的人也知道对方存的是站在对方个人角度的“善念”（而“善待”他），这就是在践行“善”。 对于守信的人知道对方是诚实守信的（而相信他），对于不守信的人也知道对方存的是站在对方个人角度的“信念”（而“相信”他），这就是在践行“信”。 通达事理的人在日常生活中一直保持低调的样子，却理解天下不同势力之间错综复杂的关系，梳理它们，使它们协调。（因为）形形色色各种不同人的表现都给出一定的信息（提示或反馈），而通达事理的人有效的收集到这些信息，以此给出准确的陈述。

• 浑，混流声也；

• 咳，小儿笑也。

The person who understands the principles of things does not stick to a certain mindset or thinking habit for a long time, but instead has mastered the ability to think from different perspectives and can take various different people's mindsets or thoughts as a starting point for their own thinking.

For those who do good, they know that the other person is kind-hearted (and treat them kindly); for those who do not do good, they also know that the other person's "good intentions" are based on their own individual perspective (and "treat them kindly"). This is the practice of "goodness."

For those who are trustworthy, they know that the other person is honest and trustworthy (and trust them); for those who are not trustworthy, they also know that the other person's "belief" is based on their own individual perspective (and "trust" them). This is the practice of "trust."

They also maintain a low profile in their daily life, but understand the complex and intricate relationships between different forces in the world, and coordinate them to make them work in harmony. They effectively gather information from various people's actions, which gives them accurate insight.
