Te Chapter 63
Act with a mindset of contentment and calm; approach accidents with a mindset of no concern; treat delicacies as commonplace. Great things come from small beginnings, and much is gained from little accumulation; address issues as they arise, and gradually resolve grudges through action. When attempting to solve difficult tasks, start with the simplest aspects; when working towards a grand goal, start with the smallest details. All difficult tasks must start with ease; all great tasks must start with the small. Therefore, those who understand the principles of things always start with small tasks (without desiring big contributions), and ultimately achieve great things.
Making grand promises easily while having little ability to fulfill them will inevitably lead to a loss of trust from others. Treating things as easy will inevitably lead to many difficulties in actual implementation. Therefore, those who understand the principles of things prepare in advance, discover and respond to difficulties (by solving them from the small), so that they do not encounter real difficulties.
