Te Chapter 69
"I" perceive the boundaries of the world, and all things under heaven come from "my" perception. "My" perception is vast, filling the world and the contents are clear and not obscure. Because it is big enough (filling the world), there is no obscure place; if there is an obscure place, then the perception of that area is always weak.
"I" consistently adhere to three principles, one is to insist on being fully prepared (to make the sprouts thrive), second is to insist on restraining oneself with laws, and third is not to be the pioneer of the development of all things in the world. Being fully prepared (to make the sprouts that support actions thrive) can serve as the courage to support actions; restraining oneself with laws and setting an example, so that the laws of action can be widely promoted; not being the pioneer of the development of things, so that things can naturally develop and grow.
If you push forward recklessly without properly preparing, or without imposing constraints on yourself, you will certainly push yourself into a very dangerous and irreversible situation.
When fully prepared, warfare can be victorious; when defending, one's position is like a fortified city. When given the opportunity to act, it should be strengthened with full preparation, like building a wall around a home for protection.
