德圩一 - Te Chapter 51
道生之而德畜之 物刑之而器成之
是以万物尊道而贵德
道之尊 德之贵也
夫莫之爵而恒自然也
道生之 畜之 长之 遂之 亭之 毒之 养之 复之
生而弗有也 为而弗寺也 长而勿宰也
此之胃玄德
世间万物都是遵循基础的道理化生(创生)而来的,又在持续的和其他事物交互和自我践行之中逐渐成长壮大(蓄养)起来。(就像)具象化的实物因为它们的外观形状而得以区分彼此,而这些实物的具体作用才真正的成就了它们,也正是因为这些功用它们才被称为“器物”。所以世间万物都应该尊崇基础的道理,并且重视自我践行。 道理之所以值得被尊崇、自我践行之所以能体现贵重之处,是因为道理和自我践行并不会因为事物本身尊贵与否而受到影响,这是事物内在的持久的自我驱动。 世间万物各自遵循某种根本的道理创生而出,发育,成长,(离开家)走出去,(到合适的地方)停下来,获得成就,养护(保持住),周而复始。 创生出新的事物,让它自由发展成长,并不据为己有;做事情的时候不会(拿自己的要求)去限制别的事物;自己是周边环境中比较出挑的,比周边事物更加优秀,也不会去强行治理周边环境,管理周边事物。这个可以称得上是和不同环境交互时候持续迭代的自我践行。
毒,厚也;
寺,有法度者也。
All things in the world are created and grow by following the basic principles, and they continue to interact with other things and practice themselves. Concrete objects are distinguished by their appearance and shape, but their specific functions truly achieve them and it is because of these functions that they are called "utensils". Therefore, all things in the world should respect the basic principles and value self-practice.
The reason why principles are worthy of respect and self-practice can show value is because principles and self-practice are not affected by whether the things themselves are noble or not, this is the persistent self-motivation of things.
All things in the world are created and grow according to certain fundamental principles. They leave home, find a place to settle, achieve success, maintain themselves, and repeat the cycle.
When creating new things, one does not try to claim them as their own, does not impose their own desires on others, and does not try to control their surroundings. This can be called a continuous process of self-improvement through interaction with different environments.
