亓正闵闵 亓民屯屯
亓正察察 亓邦夬夬
祸 福之所倚 福 祸之所伏
孰知亓极 亓无正也
正复为畸 善复为訞 人之迷也 亓日固久矣
是以方而不割 兼而不刺 直而不绁 光而不眺
(上位者)依托于基本道理而实行中正之道的时候,一方面,祂有同情体恤(宽厚)的时候,民众聚集到一起,好像草木初生的样子(艰难但是有生机);另一方面,祂也有明察秋毫(严苛)的时候,邦国(决策和执行)就会果断起来。 在灾祸的结果之上更容易发生好事(福运);幸福的收获也往往潜伏着祸患。这样祸福互相依存,谁又能说出最终的结果呢?没有“中正”的答案(不要考虑祸福的问题,才能坚持中正之道)。 正常的行为被当做不合常理;良善的言行也被当做邪惑、怪诞。这是人被自己的内心迷惑了,并且日积月累加深了印象。 所以对待天下万物时,对事物进行甄别分类即可,不要把他们当成异类去割裂他们;团结(兼顾)他们的时候,不要为了巩固团结而有针对性的伤害个体;沟通时候直率的表达个人想法和思路,但是不要当做要求去束缚住(他人的思路或执行);做事的时候尽情发挥能力,不要因为取得了成就而生偏见之心。
绁,系也。
When one governs through the principles of righteousness, on one hand, when one is compassionate and understanding, the people will gather together like newly sprouted plants (difficult but full of vitality); on the other hand, when one is perceptive and strict, the country will make decisive decisions.
Above the results of disasters, it is easier for good things to happen; the harvest of happiness often also hides the potential for disaster. In this way, disasters and blessings are mutually dependent, who can say what the final outcome will be? There is no "correct" answer (don't consider the problem of disasters and blessings in order to persist in the principles of righteousness).
Normal behavior is considered abnormal; good words and actions are also considered evil and strange. This is because people are confused by their own hearts and have gradually deepened their impressions.
Therefore, when dealing with all things in the world, it is enough to discriminate and classify things, and not to divide them as different kinds; when uniting (taking into account) them, do not harm individuals specifically for the sake of consolidating unity; when communicating, express personal ideas and thoughts directly, but do not confine (others' ideas or actions) as a requirement; when doing things, play to your abilities and do not develop prejudices because of achievements.
